STANDALONE INFRA-RED PEOPLE COUNTER (PC-001/002)

Why Count People?
People Counting Technology is a simple system that automates counting the number of people entering through an entrance or exit. People counting solutions have been on the market for over a decade with major retailers, casinos, shopping malls, building management as well as libraries using this technology to understand:

  • Conversions
  • Traffic Patterns
  • Justify funding requests and usage
  • Modify product placements/pricing
  • Launch promotions
  • Plan staff deployment

The Beam Sensor is the first step to understanding your footfall (flow of people).

Our standalone Infrared Beam Sensors offer a simple cost effective way to capture the number of people entering your Library, Store, Mall across any entrance.
Offering two types of counting modes the system consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter unit transmits an infrared beam to the receiver unit. When someone passes between the 2 units and breaks the infrared beam, the count value increases by one
Counting Modes: There are two types of counting modes, Directional and Non-Directional.
Non-Directional(PC-001): This is a single infra-red beam sensor, hence the counter increments a count every time the beam is cut, a counter is not direction sensitive. Users of this system simply divide the total daily count by 2 to get the IN counts.

General features:

  • Dimensions – 120 x 65 x 22mm
  • Material – ABS Plastic Power supply – 2 x 1.5v AA
  • Battery life – 4 years
  • Maximum Distance – 32 feet (10 m)

Directional(PC-002): This is a dual infra-red beam sensor, hence the counter increments a count every time the beam is cut in a particular direction. Hence the system is direction sensitive and records the count direction also (IN/OUT). Here you do not need to divide the total counts by 2.

General Feature:

  • Dimensions – 120 x 65 x 22mm
  • Material – ABS Plastic
  • Power supply – 2 x 1.5v AA
  • Battery life – 2 years
  • Maximum Distance – 16.5 feet (5 m)

The simple end-user installation and maintenance of our systems eliminate technical support costs. Our People Counting Systems are all wireless and battery powered.
